ALULITE 40 Insulated Sectional Overhead Door
The ideal door when insulation with vision is required.
The door is manufactured from multiple sections to form the door leaf. Specially dimensioned profiles are used to create a framework that can accept a variety of infill materials.
There are almost no styling and specification limitations as the range of infill options offered include translucent or opaque, partitioned or non- partitioned, tinted or transparent, insulated or with ventilation openings, as shown below.
Fully compliant to EN 13241-1
ALULITE 40 insulated sectional overhead doors are manufactured to suit individual openings for all types of commercial and industrial buildings where energy conservation and ingress of natural light is desired.
ALULITE 40 is assembled using aluminium framed panels with acrylic or polycarbonate window panes, or other infills as shown below.
These materials have a higher degree of transparency and are much more resistant to scratching then styrene acrylonitrile (SAN) which is a commonly used material.
ISO-40 solid panels can be included if only part vision is required.
Insulation Values (U values)
Each panel has rebated meeting edges with built in seals.
The door is fully sealed:
ALULITE 40 glazed panels have silver anodised finish to the aluminium framing as standard.
They can be powder coated to any standard RAL colour.
Available in all forms of lift, they can be operated manually (push up/pull down), by hand chain or electric.
High-speed drive, the standard for modern plant management, is now available.
Using a high-speed drive, with soft start/soft stop technology, this helps to reduce opening and closing times reducing heat loss and increasing transit times.
This system can be used on doors up to 25mē in size.
A range of control options is available for use with both the standard and high speed drives, including radio control, radar and induction loop.
Support is required for the tracks and the spring units. We recommend the provision of a timber frame on masonry openings to ensure a perfectly flat surface. On steelwork the doors may be fitted direct.
We can offer a low level spring support for doors up to 4000mm x 4000mm which will reduce the steel work required and bring the springs down to a lower height.
Recommended threshold detail
Due to unpredictable floor conditions it is impossible to guarantee a perfect floor seal, therefore to minimise the ingress of water we recommend the following:
Options: (at extra cost)
Available with an extensive range of infills:
Pass Doors with TRIP FREE threshold
The ALULITE 40 can include a pass door with a TRIP FREE threshold so providing unimpeded access with only a low-level threshold strip.
(Doors with a safety edge and low level threshold pass door will incur extra cost due to the requirement for a 'run ahead' obstacle detector.)
The TRIP FREE threshold will effectively reduce the times the sectional door is opened helping to reduce energy costs.
If side room allows we can supply the pass door within a matching side panel as shown below.
